Village Health Worker students were given a real life case study today of malnourished 8 month old twin girls in their village and asked to plan meals for a day. They also had to determine the cause of the poor nutrition and a solution. They had to choose a cause--time, energy or resources. Cause: Mother has 3 young children and has no energy or time to cook meals. Solution-- one of the village health worker students has offered to help the mother with cooking and/or watching the children. They explained that they help each other in this very poor village.
