The students turn to teach....

Meet my fabulous translator, Vina

I have the absolute best translator possible. She is a 6th year medical student and is able to keep pace with me. I have worked with many translators over the years and she is at the top of my list! Next week she will bring her 8 week old baby to class so  I can teach "examination of the newborn." Thank-you Vina! You are a blessing to me and the students!

Students win prizes for class participation

As an incentive to participate in class (Cambodian students are rather shy) we ask the students to write their name on a slip of paper and place in an envelope each time they answer a question, present a case study, etc. At the end of each day, we draw a name out and someone will receive a prize. The students have enjoyed it and all participate. Prizes have included- nylon backpack, laser pointer, calculators, etc. All prizes were donated. Thank-you to everyone who made donations for the students! You are awesome!
